Coil Spring
A coil spring, also known as a helical spring, is a mechanical device. It consists of a flexible, elastic material (usually metal like steel) formed into a helix (spiral) shape. When a force is applied, it compresses, extends, or twists, storing mechanical energy and then releasing it to provide a restoring force, commonly used in suspension systems, clocks, and various machinery for shock absorption, load support, and motion control.
